Stargazing open rooftop, Nordic hot tub, Uplifting meditation classes

Overview

Wake up high amongst the trees, to the sound of the birds singing and the leaves whispering in the breeze on each morning of this weekend yoga retreat. Each tree house is furnished with the comforts of a contemporary hotel and includes an O-Zone treated Nordic hot tub on the private terrace.

You will be invited to experience the ancient ritual of forest bathing (often known as Silvotherapy), led by an expert. Through a series of guided exercises, from deep breathing to a mindful walk in the forest, become one with the nature and let the heart and mind roam free. To further enhance the connection with Mother Nature, participate in the Shamanism Workshop on a separate afternoon, also held outside in the open forest. Following shamanic rituals and ancient meditation techniques, guided by a Shaman, the objective is to help guests reconnect to their inner-power by letting voices and emotions surface and learning to accept them rather than subdue them. All experiences can then be translated into empowering and coping tools for the contemporary lifestyle.

Delicious locally sourced, plant-based food is cooked by the creative chefs using Ayurvedic recipes and healing herbs to place high-energy food on your plate every meal. Enjoy lunches and dinners in the dining rooms of the imposing castle surrounded by vast oak trees, which once provided the impressive backdrop for the first original film adaptation of Beauty and the Beast by Jean Cocteau. Participate in a healthy cooking class, focused on the use of herbs to understand the sources of nutrition within our food and enjoy cooking demonstrations held by the chef to complete a knowledgeable cooking experience.

Yoga classes will be held at sunrise and sunset, within the castle, with views of the forest and green fields all around. The morning Ashtanga Vinyasa ritual will focus on core and muscular strength and dynamic energy flow. Evening practice will be deeper and slower with Yin and Yoga Nidra elements and visualization techniques. Reestablish a sense of identity by taking a moment away from the usual settings to process, reflect and respond to pressing thoughts and emotions on the Forest Bathing Tree House Retreat. By responding to these, we are building, growing and developing.
