We work with learned experts and partner with eco-luxury boutique properties that are tucked away in remote but inspiring settings besides nature. The health and wellbeing of our guests, teams and communities has and will continue to take central priority. To provide a safe, comfortable and high-quality experience expected from us, we have retreat determined Health & Safety protocols in place. Together with our partners, we are taking all the necessary steps in accordance with guidelines outlined by the World Health Organisation (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health authorities of each destination:
1. Social Distancing
Experiences designed by Balance Holidays are favoured by the vast, open spaces both indoors and outdoors.
We also take pride in offering each guest an intimate and personalised approach by ensuring a reasonable expert-student ratio. Allowing ease for social distancing across group workshops, classes and activities. Nonetheless, social distancing is implemented across all points of operation and we encourage guests to maintain 2M apart at all times.
If social distancing is not possible, a face covering is required for guests and staff alike.
With the introduction of on-demand private retreats, depending on the chosen programme, this allows guests an additional option of reserving a property for exclusive access. Ideal for those wishing to further minimise interaction with individuals outside of your immediate group.
2. Enhanced Cleaning and Sanitisation Protocols
Amongst our collection of eco-luxury boutique properties, who are signatures and leaders of excellence in the industry. Each of them remain committed to operating with heightened health, hygiene and safety measures and vigilance above their already existing stringent standards.
These include the introduction of intensified cleaning and disinfecting frequencies across all points of operations and communal spaces: concierge, lobby areas, dining rooms, public bathrooms and more.
Each day, staff and guest temperatures will be taken. Those with a temperature above average or reporting possible symptoms of Covid-19 will be asked to vacate the premises and seek medical attention.
Individual retreat-based health and safety measures have been developed and implemented in full effect. Including personally assigned equipment, schedule adjustments, dining arrangements and more.
Contact-free delivery and the option to opt-out of daily housekeeping for a 100% private, no-contact room is also available. Our partners will continue to explore and test new technology and methods to elevate our sanitisation and hygiene methods.
3. Increased Hygiene Resources Available
Adequate hygienic materials and resources have been made available for staff and guests at each location. Hand sanitisers are available at all points of entrance and communal areas. While gloves, facemasks and specialised care kits are also available upon request, subject to availability. Based on current medical advice, we recommend frequent and thorough hand washing as an effective alternative to wearing gloves.
4. Outstanding People, Outstanding Experiences
As we begin to welcome guests back, we strive to continue to develop an exemplary work environment primed on care and encouragement.
At each property, staff undergo mandatory health and safety training, covering personal protective equipment and wear and newly adopted practices and procedures.
Increased wellness checks are being taken. As their physical and mental wellbeing carries utmost importance to ensure we continue to provide an experience as unique as you are.
As the situation continues to unfold, we will continue to closely monitor the global situation and follow advice set out by international and local authoritative bodies. We will continue to adapt our best practices and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
